Year 11 and year 12 CAFS classes investigate the needs and services for people with disability.
Our Senior students recently enjoyed a Community and Family Studies excursion to Summerland House Farm in Alstonville. Summerland House Farm is part of the House With No Steps organisation which aims to remove barriers to employment, education and community participation for people with disability. The excursion involved tours of the museum, macadamia processing plant, packaging facility and retail businesses. Students also had lunch at the cafe and the opportunity to interact with the employees.
