2nd March, 2017.

Dear Parents/Carers,

This year we are endeavouring to have a major contact with parents each term. This will involve a Parent/Teacher interview in Terms 1 and 3, and half yearly and yearly reports during Terms 2 and 4. Parents/Carers are invited and encouraged to meet with their child's teachers to discuss student progress.

The date of the Parent/Teacher Evening is Thursday, 9th March 2017.

Each faculty will be allocated a room and will be well signposted to enable easy access.  Interviews will take place between 4.00pm and 7.00pm.

Interviews have been scheduled for five minute intervals to provide an opportunity for all parents to see as many teachers as possible.  Bookings are highly encouraged as we cannot guarantee that ‘drop ins' will be able to be accommodated.  Please endeavour to keep to schedule.

This year, for the first time, we are trialling appointments made through the parent portal.  If you have not received registration details for the portal or are experiencing difficulty please contact the school on 6645 2244 or email maclean-h.school@det.nsw.edu.au for assistance.  The portal is located on the Maclean High School website by clicking on the Sentral tab on the far right.  If you are unable to access the portal you may still make appointments by phoning the school office staff who will assist you by making appointments and sending a schedule home with your child.

Should the evening set aside not be suitable, please contact the relevant Year Adviser to make an alternative arrangement.

We trust that as many parents as possible will take the opportunity to discuss their child's progress at school.
