On Thursday 7th September, 26 young ladies ventured to Grafton to contest the annual Daily Examiner Competition. All team members displayed both a fine set of sporting skills and outstanding sportsmanship for the entire day.

 Our year 7/8 and 9/10 teams came away undefeated and favourites for the finals

 

Open girls team

The Open Girls team fought hard but couldn't quite match the MCC and Grafton teams this year.  Thanks to all players for their commitment.  Best player honours for the Open team goes out to Bella Gilbert.

A big thank you to our 3 umpires for the day, Steph Hutton, Alana Colwelll and Tara George.

 

On Wednesday 13th September the two junior teams were again off to Grafton for the finals competition at 4.00pm.

Year 7/8

The 7/8 team trailed by 2 to South Grafton in the first quarter but by half time Maclean led by 2 and played on for a 27-24 win.

The 9/10 Team shot to an early lead. They continued to play a tight game and held their position for a 41-33 win. 

Congratulations to all players for a superb performance and in particular our two "Players of the Final" – Carissa Miltiadou (7/8) and Alyssa Luland (9/10)

Thank you to the parents who helped with transport and all your support through the competition and Cobie Stanley and Chloe Bryant for your fantastic coaching and positive encouragement of all the girls involved.
