2018 CHS Rowing Championships

A Road Steeped in History, Pointing to a Future Filled with Hope! Maclean High School is the second most successful school in CHS rowing history with 154 wins including 2 Boys Point Scores, 7 Girls Point Scores ad 11 Champion School titles. Over the course of the past decade Maclean High has been in the process of steadily building, retaining the Girls Point Score trophy from 2005 to 2011. Student Representative Council Induction Ceremony

The SRC (Student Representative Council) Induction Ceremony was held on Thursday the 1st of March. It was a great success with over 50 parents, grandparents and special guests attending the ceremony. This year the ceremony was held in the newly carpeted Library which created an intimate setting in air-conditioned comfort. All SRC representatives, the Captains and Vice-captains were officially presented with their badges, SRC planners and took the SRC Oath. Maclean High School Encore Excursion 2018

On Saturday the 17th Feb, our Music staff, along with 20 Elective Music students made their annual pilgrimage to Sydney for ‘ENCORE' (The best of the 2017 Music Students performing in the Opera House). As it is such a long way to go, many other Music inspired activities were organised. The students got to take in the professional production of "Mamma Mia—The Musical" before heading to Hard Rock Café for dinner and a look at all the classic rock memorabilia. Three students from MHS entered the Junior Archies Competition, which is being held in conjunction with the travelling Archibald Prize Exhibition which is currently hanging in Grafton Regional Gallery. Brooke Orth, Max Szekely and Oscar Stephenson have submitted excellent drawings. 2018 Swimming Carnival Information

Carnival is to be held this Wednesday, February 7, 2018 commencing at 9 a.m. Maclean Pool. Hawaiian theme dress up and join in the spirit of the day but NO CREPE PAPER OR BODY PAINTS. Coloured sun screens are allowed. FANCY DRESS PRIZES!! Most buses have been organised to drop off at Maclean Pool or the Boulevarde. If your bus drops off at school you will need to walk to Maclean Pool. Roll mark will take place inside the pool grounds at 9 a.m. As you arrive go to your year roll to have your name marked.
